The Toronto Maple Leafs have invited former Vernon Vipers goaltender Darion Hanson.

Hanson attended the Philadelphia Flyers development camp last summer, will be entering his second season at Union College, played one season in Vernon (2016-17) after coming over in a trade with Youngstown. The Youngstown Phantoms traded Hanson to Vernon November 18 2016 (No details on the trade were announced). In 21 games with the Vipers Hanson recorded a 14-4-2 record with 2 shutouts and a 1.84 GAA

Maple Leafs Announce 2018 Development Camp Roster

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today the roster for the team's 2018 Development Camp. 

Players will undergo medicals and on-ice testing today, Monday, June 25, while the first full-team on-ice session and media availability will take place on Tuesday, June 26 at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence.

A total of 46 players (27 Forwards, 15 Defencemen, 4 Goaltenders) are slated to take part in this year's development camp, including 18 Maple Leafs draft picks. Eight of Toronto's nine selections in the 2018 NHL Draft, including 29th overall selection Rasmus Sandin, will attend the camp. 

Maple Leafs Director of Player Development Scott Pellerin will oversee this year's camp. Leafs assistant coaches Jim Hiller and D.J. Smith, as well as Toronto Marlies head coach Sheldon Keefe and Newfoundland Growlers head coach Ryane Clowe, will be on-ice working with the prospects, who will be split into two groups.

This year's development camp on-ice sessions will take place at the MasterCard Centre for Hockey Excellence.
