Former Vernon Vipers forwards Colton Sparrow (2010-2014) & Zach McPhee (2010-11) and former Vernon Vipers defencemen Kevin Kraus (2007-2010) also play for the Lumberjacks. 

Caton played one game last season with the GLHL Fond du Lac Bears. Caton played parts of four seasons in the BCHL with Vernon & Trail, before committing to Marian University in 2018.

Caton played one season in Vernon with the 2014-15 Vipers. Caton played 4 games as an "AP" with the 2013-14 Vernon Vipers, attended the Vipers 2015 Training Camp, played in a few exhibition games before being released September 9th 2015. In 52 regular season games with the Vipers Caton collected (4-goals-4-assists-8-points). 

Caton's father Murray Caton played three seasons in Vernon from 1989-1992 with the Vernon Lakers. The Vernon Lakers were around from 1980-1995 before changing their name to the Vernon Vipers in 1995.
